Femdom
Femdom is a word often avoided by those engaged in female led relationships. Indeed the very popularity of the term female led relationships stems from a desire to evade the clichés often conjured up by Femdom. For many the latter has become too deeply enmeshed in associations with pornographic websites like the Other World Kingdom.
But most female led relationships nonetheless engage in many of the same practices as those engaged in Femdom as lifestyle or play.
Femdom is short for “female domination.” Not female dominant. Writing “a Femdom” is a solecism.

A female led relationship is simply that: a relationship that is led by a female. There are plenty of relationships where one partner dominates and there is nothing sexual about it.
Female domination can also be, technically non-sexual. No manipulation or even seeing of the genitals is required. But the same can be said of fetishes. Something that is not directly related to sexuality causes a sexual response.
Female domination can be a part of a female dominated relationship, but it is not a necessary part.
Likewise, one can hire a woman to “perform” female domination. I wouldn’t call this a female led relationship.
Female domination and female led relationships have a large overlap, but they are two distinct things.

No argument here at all. There are few good resources on the web.
Femdom can be sensationalized for the uneducated; there’s money to be made selling wank-off material. So there are a flood of sites out there that pander to these debased cravings. They are cheap, poorly done and have little relation to the real world.
This forum and a few others struggle to get the word out. Thanks to our posters for supporting it.
