There is no set of roles which are "best" for most people. Each couple should have the relationship which makes them the happiest, whether that is male-led, equal, or female-led, and iwthin those catagories, there are infinite variations. A FLR can be one in which the female totally controls only certain decisions, or one in which she has total control over every aspect of the relationhsip. If it's going to be a true FLR, then in my view the female should have permanent total control, but some would regard that as extreme.
