Many people who use words like female supremacy actually believe in political and social equality for all genders. This isn’t to say that they aren’t dominant; don’t exercise power over men - enslave them.

Laura Goodwin is a stellar example:

Now I’ll tell you what gynosupremacists aren’t: we aren’t sexists. All men and women are equal under the Goddess. SHE is the Mother of us all, and loves us all equally. In my religion, each person is divinely authorized to be an agent for the Goddess or God. We assert that the body, the world, and life itself is sacred, deserving respect and preservation, and yes, I do want to see those values reflected in my daily life.

Gynosupremacy

For her gynosupremacy is a means of seeking balance in dealing with the legacies of millennia of patriarchy. And I suspect she finds it a beautiful metaphor.

On the web the bulk of hard-line gynosupremacists are mostly professional dominatrices. And the online and telephone sex workers seeking monetary tribute fill the fattest slice of that.

For them female supremacy is a form of patter: the better to milk men of their money. While the majority of PSOs are honorable some are ruthless in taking advantage of lonely submissive men.

The problem with trying to “equalize” or establish some “balance” between God/Goddess or male/female, or even Yang/Yin essences is that we humans are anthromorphosizing something that is vastly greater than ourselves. We’re seekin some idea of balance that we’ve made up in our own heads. To assume that we, as humans, can understand this balance on so grand a scale is hubris. To want it for ourselves on such a small scale - and to blame lay the responsibility on our gods or our religions is small and selfish.

Not to mention the fact that not all of us want an equal balance of opposing gendered qualities to be present in our behavior or attitudes. And the point, of course, is that this should also be okay.

I don’t believe in any kind of supremacy based on a person’s genetics. It doesn’t matter if the genetics determines skin color or gender.

Men and women are different. Period. In general, men do some things better than women. In general, women do some things better than men. However, I’m not putting down one nickle as a bet on individual performances on anything.

As a concept for jerk-off material, female supremacy is a good topic. If you are willing to suspend disbelief it can be a very enjoyable fantasy.

Gynosupremacy: an ugly word for a bad idea.
